Today we send love to our dedicated HHS colleagues who received separation notices yesterday after months of uncertainty.

You deserve so much better than a generic email saying, “Thank you for your service to the American people.”

This fight is far from over.

Last night, the Department of Health and Human Services sent termination letters to employees who were originally fired in April but temporarily reinstated due to a lower court ruling. The Supreme Court cleared the way last week for those firings to proceed.

Pam Bondi fires three Jan. 6 prosecutors, sending another chill through DOJ workforce The dismissals were the first time that prosecutors who worked on Jan. 6 cases and were past their probationary period of federal employment had been fired by the Justice Department.

The Department of Justice firing prosecutors based on politics is never okay. That the prosecutors are apparently being fired for having brought cases against those who participated in an actual insurrection to overturn an election makes it that much worse. This is scary stuff.

Spare us your theatrics, Lisa Murkowski. The Americans who suffer if the house passes this bill will actually have to agonize about what to do when their health care is gone.
