Influencer Tate brothers, who face human trafficking charges in Romania, arrive in the US Influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate have arrived in the U.S. from Romania after authorities lifted travel restrictions imposed as part of a legal case.

In a country that had not, as the prophet Jeremiah put it, β€œforgotten how to blush,” this abomination would shock every conscience. We are long past that point. God have mercy.

What if we had even more players injured and REALLY lived life on the edge? Would that be fun?

Supply Chains Break and Hospitals Shutter After USAID Freeze - Christianity Today Christian donations can only do so much to fill the gap when facilities grapple with layoffs, scarce drugs, and unanswered questions.

a clinic for 300 children with HIV doesn't know where to get drugs to keep them alive. This is the situation right now.

But also the situation is: people are giving money to pay for those drugs

And of course I absolutely do want more! I want the titles! I hate City for not being able to do one fraction of this season either of the previous two. I want to see us win the league so badly. It’s also just so fun to have it all matter again.

During the long decline years of Wenger, I truly did not believe I would ever see us challenging for the title. United and Chelsea’s financial power was too great. And then the City machine! But here we are. A few bad breaks and maybe some suboptimal decisions from multiple titles. Amazing.

And I get that the proximity is what makes it so agonizing! I’m amazed that we’re in agony. Love it.

Personally, I keep coming back to marveling that this disaster of a season has us in 2nd in the league, top 3 in the Champions League. That seemed impossible just a few years ago. We haven’t won trophies, the big ones we all want, but we’re inches away, not miles. Incredible.

I don’t blame the attack for being blunt. I don’t think we β€œlacked intensity” there. It’s difficult to play with tempo in an all new attack led by a big midfielder and a kid. We had good periods there.

That goal was unacceptable. I don’t really yell at my TV but I was screaming. Just terrible.

#arsecastextra For what player would James most willingly suffer injury to protect them until the end of the season? @gunnerblog.bsky.social

Who will you turn your powers on next? Are you powerful enough to fix Sterling? Maybe that’s too far. Say something about Trossard not being nearly as good as last season or something like that.

He was so so bad. The ball just died with him so many times.

That is some hamstring injury. Wow. Surely the only grade tear worse than that is tearing the leg completely off the body?

13.02.2025 16:17 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Truly, I don’t know. Not a physio. I’m just curious. A hamstring going during a game is unsurprising. I wonder what this was like. Were there concerns about it? Was he hiding something? Or was it completely out of the blue and then twanged? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Just noting that it happened in training, not a game.

12.02.2025 15:58 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

The best players play a ton of minutes. Too many, of course (modern game, greed, being a winter break etc.). Wasn’t this a chance to just… rest? Why was he doing max effort anything? I mean, I’m very sure they’re not insane. Just seems like we’ve had plenty of training injuries.

12.02.2025 14:40 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I think transfer and economic dynamics are so occluded that I can’t even be that mad about what didn’t happen. January transfers seem really tough. Even loan deals. So… I just don’t know.

I do have some questions about what happens in our training sessions. How did this happen during a β€œbreak”?

12.02.2025 14:06 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I don’t think either transfer window has been a disaster. I don’t think overpaying for Watkins would have been good for example. We have a budget. So:
1. Why is the ceiling lower on spending? Ownership or PSR? Because more money makes an overpay ok.
2. Why was he doing anything intense in training?

12.02.2025 13:45 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Would throwing the ball at the back of an opponent’s head count as crossing a line or are we primarily concerned with sarcastic mimicry hurting feelings?

05.02.2025 16:10 β€” πŸ‘ 10    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

We need to save money and balance our budget? Why don’t we start where the powers of this world always start: Trampling on the poorest of the poor.

Apropos of absolutely nothing:

When I lived in Africa for a year, I was shocked by how much people raved about American generosity. We helped turn the tide of HIV/AIDS for people who could not afford to do so. We were known for that generosity.

Efficiency isn’t everything. Generosity is great.

Social media led me to believe that this Arsenal team are a disgrace, Arteta is a loser, and we are mediocre as a club. Obviously this is true, so how bad must City and almost every other team in Europe be for us to appear to be this good? Who will save European football? @gunnerblog.bsky.social

The Christian ought to joyfully affirm and live as if it will one day be said, β€œThe kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and His Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.”

For indeed, that is the true story of the whole world.

His justice and mercy will be the defining feature of history when everything shakes out. And we are wise to conform our own justice and mercy to his. To fight and sacrifice for such a thing is a profoundly sensible choice. And it can be done with peace under incredible duress.

There is the possibility of a privileged passivity by some Christians’ insistence that any Inauguration Day is not the most important thing happening at any given time. But the rock-solid conviction that there is a God who rules over the nations is actually what propels a life like Dr. King’s.

Yes buy more creative players. Let the team loose a little bit. I agree! Great! But this squad is so thin right now. You know what we need to do? Grind out results. I can’t think of a manager I would rather have in this exact scenario.

I just don’t understand people who are furious at Arteta and think he should be sacked. The squad is stretched way too thin. We’ve lost big players. We’ve had terrible, cursed luck. But. We’re clearly a very good team even still. We were so so bad before he came. We’re now mad at being very good!
