Prioritize streetcar lanes. Time traffic lights so streetcars don’t stop every block.

Remove left turns that hold up entire lines. More people per vehicle means we should clear the path for them (duh).

Torontonians are hungry to bike more, cycle shop owners say. Will the war on bike lanes hamper a cultural shift?

Toronto’s bike shops have seen an increasing number of families in the store, while at the same time the Ontario government is moving to limit the number of bike lanes in the province.

This is good data (a very large household transportation survey). 4.3% of Toronto commuters bike to work; five wards are above 10%; the top ward (University-Rosedale) is 16%.

The parts of the city with the most infrastructure have the most cycling.

(Does not capture non-commuting trips.)

I live in the top cycling ward (University Rosedale).
Also where all three major bike lanes may be ripped out in March. 😞
