Does anyone know whether the injunction application has been issued or whether it’s just a letter seeking undertakings? Big difference between the two as former shows they mean business. Latter could still just be bluster.

I am so fed up of journalists who parrot the line “something has got to change”. The WRU are incompetent so yes something has to change but guess what? It may not be the fact that there are four regions! Just a thought 🤷♂️

So proud! I bet no other Rugby Union in the world is making headlines like this

This used to be one of my favourite days of the year. First Saturday of the 6 Nations. I would buy numerous papers and read the rugby previews over a long breakfast.
Today I’ll be avoiding the TV pretending Welsh rugby doesn’t exist (which may not be far from the truth soon!)

For the avoidance of doubt by NF I mean Mr Farage as opposed to the National Front which “allegedly” is nothing to do with him.

I feel genuinely let down by Starmer. Could have been a great leader but in a time when the UK needed a strong leader he’s been the opposite and enabled NF.

No action by Swansea CC could force Y11 to keep funding and running the Ospreys so whilst I applaud what they are doing legally it is doomed.

The absolute best Swansea CC could force via court (and not convinced they are sufficiently interested legally to bring a claim) is a fair process for the licences. If the Ospreys don’t bid then no one else would get a licence based in Swansea.

It’s ok it’s “supported by independent external input”

Somebody seems to have left Dave Reddin, a man who knows nothing about rugby or Wales, decide what’s is best for rugby in Wales. That somebody needs relieving of their position as much as Reddin does

Because you can’t be the problem with an institution that’s been entirely incompetent for years when you’ve e only been there for 6 months
01.02.2026 20:40 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0
We need to remember that members of the WRU board interviewed him and decided he’s the best man for the job. Reddin is the symptom of what’s wrong not the cause.

If true (and no reason to doubt Buchanan who’s always been an honest club man) this is wrong on so many levels. The WRU’s job is to promote and foster Welsh Rugby not to field a slightly better team 5 weeks a year. Reddin and those who hired him and support him need to go now!

My wife is 50 this year. She first went to Stradey as a babe in arms. She’s the reason I support Scarlets. Tonight I heard her cheer an Ospreys try for the first time ever… happy now WRU?

Your standards for the Welsh media are set way too high. They change like the wind and rarely give a valid opinion, just repeat what they’ve heard somewhere

A lot to work with. 18 is hard to make a first team debut in any position but fly half is the worst. More positives than negatives and if I see a scarlet “fan” have a go at him, they’re not a proper fan! In 6 or 7 years time CLJ will be regular for us and Wales (if they still exist)

Massively. If Brace ref’ed fairly we’d be level.

Apparently Scrummaging and rucking are not allowed when the 6N is on…

What the f*** was that penalty for? Competing at the breakdown?

At least there’s a viable option to Welsh Labour.
PS it’s not Reform

I thought he was fairly clueless and the reason he got the big calls right was because he watched them over and over on the big screen!

To be fair to us we weren’t booing the kicker we were still booing the shit decision to award a penalty in the first place!

To be fair that ref played some of the longest advantages I’ve ever seen (irrespective of the foul play element)

I for one would never accept one which I can say safe in the knowledge I will never be offered one. Much like my premature retirement from international rugby at the age of 50.

You might even be watching a failing Wales team with a little smirk thanking god you no longer give a f***. The WRU have been sucking the joy out of Welsh rugby for years.

Not quite the announcement that gives us a chance of staying in D1 next year. I like Billy but we need some top end signings.
