In case you were wondering, my AP Stats students found convincing evidence that there is a difference in mean # of chocolate chips between Chips Ahoy and Chippers (Walmart) cookies.

Just spent 1 hour brokering the exchange of Girl Scout cookies between troops in 2 different counties.
They don’t tell you how intense the role of Troop Cookie Chair can get when you agree to the job. #girlscoutcookies
3 periods of making faces & sticking our tongues out at each other in the name of data collection (Can you arch your eyebrow? roll your tongue?) and 1 period of students highly engaged in a trigonometric functions card sort. So admin stops by during the one period taking a test. Go figure!🤷♀️ #math

Today in my 12th grade Intro to Stats class we worked through what comprises a standard deck of cards. It is much easier to do probability problems with cards once you understand the composition of the deck. 🙂
Also: It was very easy to figure out who my veteran card players were!

(1) the walls/ceiling aren’t insulated, so heater has to work harder
(2) thermostat is not reading the room temp correctly (because the location is not representative of ambiance temp or it is not calibrated)
(3) faulty parts

In other news my child applied for a State ID card after the election and was able to select X as their gender marker.
