We could try to break him out like Spain tried to free Mary Queen of Scots

If Alito were on Bluesky he would like and repost this.

The mission of the HSI is to โ€œinvestigate, disrupt and dismantle terrorist, transnational and other criminal organizations that threaten or seek to exploit the customs and immigration laws of the United States.โ€

Not rinky dink voter registration violations.

Iโ€™m no social scientist but I have to think underestimation is the natural response to the party line confirmation of RFK.

Holy shit. You will not get away with this whitewash.

Friedman stands out to me more than anyone. He built a reputation as having a view from 10,000 feet, which is how I try to think. But Iraq looked completely insane from 1-10,000. I wonโ€™t speculate on his perspective on Iraq but it was obscured.

Why Brooks? I mean, itโ€™s Friday, Iโ€™m fried, I donโ€™t remember 2003. IIRC he was mostly annoying during Wโ€™s first term.

But Safire was objectively worse/fash.

If thereโ€™s a better barometer of โ€œwhat most people want to seeโ€ than the half time act at the Super Bowl, I would like to know what that is.

What I find unique about this is not the questions but his willingness to attempt to answer.

The writers are completely out of ideas. The NSA catching Kushner was a huge plot point in Season 1.

I mean, small scale vote harvesting is a thing. It was exposed in NC in 2018. A GOP candidate paid a local operative who got some not-so-bright people to collect a few hundred absentee ballots.

The candidateโ€™s name was Mark Harris.

Heโ€™s now in Congress.

True story.

It would create multiple problems for the GOP as well. What good is there in giving your money to Leo if a GOP president can ignore him and force the Senate to install his worst henchmen?

I think Ossoff is pretty good at winning. If he thinks focusing on the Epstein files directly is suboptimal, Iโ€™m inclined to listen.

Epstein wonโ€™t be on the ballot. There will be 2 candidates who both say Epstein was horrible.

I donโ€™t understand the hostility to a debate over Epstein messaging. One might have thought J6 and Trumpโ€™s obv criminality would have been easy issues to run on. Donโ€™t underestimate the callousness of the American voter, including women.

I called up one of the White House's "special government employees" involved in the Fulton County FBI raid.

I ended up on the phone for almost two hours hearing about the "deep state" "cabal," "Satanists," poison soda, and the "pure evil" of "gay pride." talkingpointsmemo.com/news/meet-th...

I donโ€™t think you have the quote exactly right. She said she was transferred to the โ€œsame level facility.โ€ That also makes no sense. Same level as what?

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paulโ€”an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

Exactly. Peopleโ€™s brains confuse โ€œit didnโ€™t workโ€ with โ€œnobody tried.โ€

The truth is the median voter doesnโ€™t care about J6. The problem is us.

I am struck by this lack of faith. Yes, GJs have been derided for a while, including by the feckless GOP SCOTUS during the Trump immunity argument.

GJs are people. They take an oath. Same is true of petit juries. Manafort was convicted in VA despite a hostile judge.

The corruption is at the top.
