I'm not happy with the national party either, but 2 in person events in a year is sad. And especially during this past year?

If you're concerned about seniority, wouldn't it make more sense to get a 32 year old in there instead of a 69 year old? Is 21 million a lot compared to other democrats?

These are honest questions and I'm open to hearing the counter argument. I think I know the answers, but I may be wrong.

That’s pretty sad for all of them. Let’s set a high bar, not settle for a weak second place finish and try to call it a cause to celebrate.

I would love a congresswoman that responded to emails or held a reasonable number of town halls. That feels more important than just 4 years of seniority. Let’s get Nida in there and give her time to get that seniority rather than wasting it on another post-retirement age democrat.

The fact that they are weird losers that nobody likes doesn't mean they weren't high school bullies.

The people who got bullied in high school were RARELY weird losers that nobody liked. They were super-cool people who either weren't afraid to be different or weren't able to hide their differences.

This was fascinating. Read through the first hundred pages like an epistolary novel.

We're begging you to do anything and you keep doing...this stuff. This is good and valuable stuff for the beforetimes, but is hopelessly inadequate for our current situation. If you won't do it, fine, but clear your seat.

Something Awful had bans figured out over twenty years ago. Ban for everything, charge 10 bucks to reinstate your account. Handles content moderation, bans are funny, and it generates revenue.

Apropos of nothing, I'm thinking about how laughably impossible it was to get funding to do anything at UNC. The phrase, "the cobbler's children have no shoes," was practically our motto.

Apropos of nothing, I would like to point out that large companies whose business model is "serve words to the public" will typically pay between US $.10 and $3.00 per word. So when you give words to a company for free, you are in fact paying them a LOT of money.

First: Kudos, this is good -- however...

I would rather see you take the money and do something useful with it -- pay your low level staff, donate to a local charity, stand outside the Capitol and hand money to furloughed workers.

You can still be performative about it while being useful.
