How much the opening scenes TRULY feel like Lamar got his hands on an "unproduced" episode of the show. Its uncanny, but entirely his skill.

The second is the introduction of both villains. They each declare their arrivals with true authority. And you immediately understand them, and their menace

For this particular story, and the particular goals we had, no, it was always going to be right around this area. It meant we could have Tech, as well as Phee and Pabu. It also meant putting the Batch in that space of grappling with what a "future" looks like re: Pabu, etc.

Had a couple of free days to work on this piece. I always love drawing Rebel Pilots and Rogue Squadron. I wanted to make Luke less of a focus in the piece and draw the eye past him to the X-Wings.
