algorithmic social media is designed to manipulate you and public opinion. the owners wanted trump to win and tuned the algorithms to help him.

Why did they believe the "best of" him and the "worst of" her? In the case of MAGA: the right-wing propaganda media. In the case of the marginal voters, who are the ones who put him over the top, the regular media, which is just a different form of right-wing propaganda.

Not at all, it’s a risk assessment argument only. A country wide strike would at least maintain the federal work force roles, but force the GOP to stand up to their homemade autocrat. Using political parties to agree funding the civil service was the weakness in the structure in the first place.

I must admit, the argument of not losing complete control of jobs that return post shut down, holds a fair bit of weight. It’s a lose lose situation, and I’m guessing this is about the most feasible damage control in the inevitable destruction of the federal workforce.
