isn't he two-footed? think i remember reading a piece about it - would happily take that though i do wonder for the ยฃ if he has the vision/technical ability to help us break down low blocks in the manner we seem to struggle

i really fancy we'd have had a crack at kulusevski before his knee exploded and/or spurs won UEL

Noni Madueke said to be on the market now... would he factor into the equation? Seems like the sort of player Howe would like on that side... strong ball-carrier, high volume shot-taker etc

Not this one. Not his finest season this year but a full summer off and a Champions League stage to impress next year, heโ€™ll be back as a fan favourite before long

can't see all of our business being done in the premier league though, particularly after the mitchell comments when he arrived at the club. two of delap/mbuemo/ramsay would be nice and then a couple of 'out of the blue' signings from beyond #NUFC

the jacob ramsay links make a lot of sense to me - screams of being an eddie howe player and would add some much-needed depth to a midfield that looks way short when one of the big three is missing #NUFC

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

It's not an assumption to suggest Dubravka is less active off his line than Pope, it's the reality. Dubravka has performed 130 actions outside his area since 2017-18, Pope has performed 377 at an average distance much further from his own touchline (16.3 yards vs 12.1)

i've had a few days to calm down and think about it, and i've decided we're going to win the carabao cup. big jo/lil jo left hand side, run it back. willock can cook against trent. #NUFC

Letโ€™s be frank, weโ€™ve been absolutely shit for weeks. No sign of it improving yet. Full clear out and squad refresh needed this summer. Iโ€™m done with some of these players. #NUFC

so many of this teamโ€™s issues stem from a lack of pace at the back. even in possession, our lack of speed moving the ball and/or being in position to receive a pass causes us so many issues in build up #NUFC

ike to think Iโ€™m a fairly reasonable and level-headed viewer but this second half performance is beyond comprehension. the difference in approach and application is borderline unprofessional. big questions about what howe said at half time if we throw this away. #NUFC

the fact i don't know what this means pleases me greatly. last time i went on there properly at the weekend i saw 2 people getting knocked out in street fights within the first 3 tweets. don't miss it there.

Agreed - I'm a Newcastle fan so sympathetic with the PSR issue. I think we're agreement on the broader issues though I think where we differ is I see the spate of injuries you're experiencing as preventable and not necesssarily inevitable

I don't disagree there's an element of necessity but also Arsenal have had the chance to sign high quality forwards for the last few windows and not done it so...

I would say they are being overplayed, yes. Bellingham has played an extraordinary amount of football for a 21 year old. Salah is a little different as for the first 5 or 6 years of his career, he played relatively little compared to the likes of Saka, Salah and Bellingham.
