When Mrs W and I go in the spring, we usually buy lots and lots of begonias for the front garden and the planters in the back. These fuckers need almost no looking after and last until the first frost. We do buy the other odd plant, but they usually don't make it through the summer.

I seem to remember being in some kind of record club in the 80s. I got LPs at a discount, but had to buy at least on album every month. Got to the stage where I didn't like any of the albums on offer, so bought Love Over Gold as the least bad choice. Thought it was rubbish, only played once.

Hello. That's a bit odd. I've had an account for a few months, thought I rarely use it, but I haven't had any suspect accounts following me. I just joined here because I was getting depressed by all the crap posted on X/Twitter.

Icy on untreated side roads here. Pavements are just sheets of ice in a lot of places. One nasty crash outside a local school, with a car ending up on the pavement behind the safety barrier. Luckily it must happened before any kids were arriving.

It's the sitting, rather than standing. I mean, the idea of dipping my knackers in snow for even a second is just horrifying.

Doesn't appear to be frosty there. Ours hasn't cleared in the shade as yet.

Dogs are crazy. I can understand them enjoying jumping around in the snow, but not resting their nether regions in it.

Similar thing happened to me one winter afternoon in Manchester. A scraggy looking girl appeared out of the shadows near a railway bridge and I was confused when she asked if I wanted any biscuits. I politely declined and it was when I'd walked 100 yards away that I realised she said 'business.'
