They're in the FO stage of what looks like a lengthy, pre-Didulo FA stage. $22k in tax arrears on a low value property takes some time to amass. They had time to sort this out but didn't.

Likely pretty much to the day 1 yr after the Feb 2024 filing. It was on the list of properties for sale in May 2025, so absolutely well before then at least. IME, people are given ample time to sort out tax arrears and cities publish the hows/whens of the process very clearly.

These scams (and Didulo is a giant scammer) are built on the fact that people will continue to throw good money after bad because the payoff is coming but still out of sight. Lies keep it all afloat - decrees, "defunct govt" nonsense, "you'll get what is rightfully yours" etc keeps the $$$ flowing.

The house was put to tender May 2025, so it already belonged to the city by then. The arrears certif was from Feb 2024, it says they had 1 yr to sort it out/pay/make extension arrangements or the property would be sold, unsure abt new addl taxes. Service Ontario rpt shows it was sold July 10 2025.

I think the property was sold July 10/25 to a numbered company (likely bought to renovate and sell), based on the docs shared.

i.e. they ran away from their tax problems and are stunned and furious that the problems didn't magically go away despite their devotion to Didulo
