I’ve been doing a rewatch and there’s so much I’ve forgotten it’s been so long.

The interwoven US/UK make it tempting... I've probably just been out of comics too long though I have no concept how big those volumes must be, practically unreadably huge!?

A set of nesting glass food containers, with separate nesting lids, one from the middle on its own in the foreground. Not pictured: our really hard kitchen floor that I desperately try not to drop them on while trying to insert one into the middle of the stack.

30 odd years later and I swear I hear my old maths teacher talking about the Tower of Hanoi every time I have to put these away. Pretty sure the algorithm didn’t fully account for having to do lids and dishes with only one spare hand while trying not to drop them though.

This one (A Conventional Boy) was pretty good and felt like a spin off from earlier Laundry books. The 'theme' of 80s D&D satanic panic helps too.

Four white parsnips, freshly dug up on a kitchen counter, not too wonky. They also have a lovely sweet fresh parsnip aroma to them.

A LEGO Lord of the Rings, Rivendell set, lit with LED lights. In the center there are minifigs of the fellowship and Elrond, seated around a LEGO One Ring, which is always comically huge, like, how did Gollum not know it was in Bilbo's pocket? It's bigger than his head!

Happy for it to be a bit bigger, but compare that to the original Switch launch video and it's really dull.

Currently torn, two novels out this week, do I read Charles Stross new Laundry Files book, or Seanan McGuire's latest Wayward Children book?
