17 September 1987 aged 11. My first ever visit to Goodison. Everton 0 - 0 Tottenham with a Trevor Steven missed penalty. Sat in the Lower Bullens. Will never forget it.

I've no particular brief for Crystal Palace but I'm delighted a proper club won the FA Cup over one of the Super League 6.

I don’t think that’s out of the question but the new recruitment team need to really hit the ground running. One of the reasons I was disappointed that Thelwell was let go was the extra risk this summer of a new recruitment setup on top of the massive other changes needed.

Potentially, but a bit early to say I think. I certainly think we should sign him.

Quality recruitment is critical. Given the budget will be bigger than for last few years but not unlimited, this means we need to look beyond the PL.

I think we've got enough to get 3-4 quality players in. Cash less of a problem post take-over and PSR less of an issue after 1 July and fees are amortised. Key thing is looking beyond the Premier League, which is the most expensive market to shop in. But can't do whole job in 1 window.

Pretty poor for the first 70 minutes today but the subs made a different. Bright spot was how good O'Brien and Branthwaite looked in defence and Myko improving every week. Subs made a difference. I really hope we start with Alcaraz and Chermiti against Ipswich.

My last trip to Goodison for this match - can't wait.
