We just put it in a shaking incubator we have in our anaerobic chamber, the same one we use for our cultures - the holder that comes with the stratus is decently magnitised and we've never had any issues with it coming loose.

We use it quite regularly for anaerobic strains, always with shaking, and we're pretty happy with it. Apart from occasional read spikes (which are usually plate-wide), the results are very consistent. We generally don't have a great deal of aggregation in the strains we use, however.

Our first foray into anaerobic bacterial cell biology is out! Nice collaboration with the lab of Karoline Faust to determine how growth stage and interspecies interactions shape the cell biology and cell cycle of human gut bacteria B. thetaiotaomicron and R. intestinalis. #MicroSky
