The Austin #gameaudio meetup was a big success tonight!
We all brought props and did a big shootout between ultrasonic mics.
Also presented my fresh talk "Beyond Audible" which is a primer all about ultrasonic recording.
Plan to post results to YT in the future. ๐๏ธ

Such a gem!
Dig putting reeeaaa as the reapitch algo with one an octave lower and it auto injects some reverse style pre-roll to sounds. Great for injecting noise elements to things.

Split keyboards are amazing for posture and ergonomics! I tried a few and landed on the NocFree with silent switches, foam and walnut wrist rests.

I've had varying success before, but nailed all four quickly this time. Funny how just a few tweaks makes all the difference for angle, method, and pressure.

Something that tallies how many times I actually instantiate a plugin in reaper over time.
Then 6-12 months later I could use that to cut down the bloat of my vst directories!

NVK works by track name to assign color!

One cool thing in NVK theme is the ability to auto color based on track name so these palettes can be used to auto color by name!
@nvk.tools Reaper theme is awesome! Adds very useful customization options.
I made 7 fresh color themes for it and shared in their discord.
What #gameaudio color themes inspire you in your DAWs? Thinking a cool nature theme, retro and synthwave theme would be fun for different types of tasks :)
