Our laws do not have any powers to anyone that can suspend elections w/o a Constitutional Amendment. States hold elections, not the federal govt and if red states don't hold them, blue states would legally win every national seat on the ticket. We didn't even suspend elections during the Civil War.

And when he makes that declaration he will declare Marshall Law and cancel all elections until he deems it safe again to hold them and that is the end of US democracy. Americans have until the mid-terms to change his mind.
