My most strongly held opinion is that cooking instructions shouldn't say "cooks in 1 hour 20 minutes" if you cook it for 1 hour then have to take it out of the oven, add a sauce, then cook for another 20 minutes - that cooks in about 1 hour 22 minutes then, don't it

What about an extra day, between Friday and Saturday? Not the weekend, but not a working day - just a buffer between the two so we can wind down ready for the weekend? Call it maybe, I dunno, Greggyday? Something like that?

With the flags on lamppost stuff, at least they won't be able to get robots to do it for them.

One big problem I have with all the flags on lampposts around my area is they haven't even bothered to clip their cable ties. Such shoddy workmanship. Pride? I don't think so with lazy work like that.

I've just donated to Jason - I've been very lucky that my cancer treatment has been fairly straightforward to date and hasn't really impacted my day-to-day life. Even then, it's been hard going at times. So for anyone having it tougher... my heart goes out to them, and I will help where I can.

Test Cricket can be just incredible at times - our eldest daughter's boyfriend, and our youngest daughter, neither of whom usually have any interest in cricket, were both watching the end of that match with the rest of us, absolutely enthralled. 5 days of effort, and it comes down to that. Wow!
