And it’s a tough discussion, but I’m glad my little over-filled bladder has sparked conversation. The pre- and mid-menopausal crowd needs to be aware, and proactive when it comes to reproductive systems, even when the factory shuts down.

Considering the laundry list of “fun stuff” already going on, it would be nice to be a fibroid, but I’m prepared.

I have an excellent Nurse Practitioner who also did a raft of bloodwork. But you aren’t scaring me. I’m aware that it could be a cancer (and the list of cancers it could be). If a biopsy is needed, she’ll send me in for one.

I mean, you have a developing human sitting on your bladder and you’re supposed to fill it up. I’m impressed when pregnant people don’t just fire- hose pee all over the exam room.

They no longer do that up here unless you know you are pregnant, and they will not tell you if there’s something that shouldn’t be there, because of fear of misdiagnosis. My NP will get the results at the end of the week.

They did the external on the full bladder but I was able to release between that and the transvag. And seeing as nothing has been in there for going on 18 years, it was unpleasant. Just gritted and winced and bought myself some chocolate after.
