I was so upset Kratos wasn’t RWB. That way we could’ve finally had another WUBR commander even if it was via partner with and typal. And you could’ve added way more gods to the deck as well.

That’s why apart from Commander I only play prerelease Sealed and Cube. At least I get my 40-card fix in those (way less casual) environments. (I quit Pauper after the blanket-ban for stickers.)

They can be together in every other format.

Just as everything shouldn’t be Commander, Commander shouldn’t be everything.

If the silent majority were in fact the majority, they wouldn’t need all this shit to get ahead 🤷🏻‍♂️ No cheating, gerrymandering, etc. would be necessary.

Why stop there then? Why not run Codie in all decks since you don’t need any colors to cast nor activate it? What about Cranial Plating in nonblack decks, since you can cast and equip it without black mana?

Commander cares about what can be in a deck via colorID, not intent. Hence format-dependance

You can always just make your own format without having to destroy the main pillars of a current one.

That’s the whole point of Commander, though. That’s why other formats exist, as well. You can always play Canadian Highlander, where color identity doesn’t matter yet it’s still singleton and 100-cards.

That’s another great point. In the quest for reducing complexity and the bar for new players, there’s even less reason for it.

Exactly. Blue Elemental Blast can destroy Boros Reckoner. It can counter it on the stack even if only white mana was spent to cast it. Because in all sense of the rules of Magic, it is both a red card and white card.

Because it’s both colors? How is a red/white card not gonna have a color identity of red/white? That’s confusing as fuck.

I ask this because of the way McKinnon first expressed himself before then walking it back about permission. She used his music before but only now it was a problem.

Blue decks don’t need Rhystic Study. Period. There’s no excuse. It’s not iconic in a fun way. That card should’ve been banned *YEARS* ago.

Wouldn’t a reasonable independent artist be ecstatic that their music was part of a gold-medal routine seen by the entire planet? Wouldn’t any independent artist wish for exactly that?

Primeval Titan will never be unbanned in Commander. My Commander Cube has no tutors or ways to really capitalize on broken cards and it’s still a house even with the minimalist floor.

I have no idea how the thought of an unban can even cross anybody’s mind. It literally prevents people from playing the game. It shuts down whole ass decks. And you have to either scoop or pray an opponent helps you, when the smart choice is not to.

Imagine wanting to unban a card that literally prevents whole-ass decks from playing. Because “it could be fun”; “it could be political”. You know what could be fun? Assembling contraptions and augmenting hosts. Doesn’t prevent anybody from playing the fucking game.

It was definitely a big “whew!” moment for me.

I’m still hopeful that the format lauded for being casual finally legalizes the silver-bordered cards that follow the criteria for being non-acorn.

Now I gotta check to see if I’d do the same for my Commander Cube, since I don’t want it deviating from the actual rules. Lutri might not even be worth it anymore to include in my Commander Cube…

Super important question: When are the silver-bordered cards that follow the criteria for not being acorn-stamped gonna finally be legal in Commander?

Having Rhystic Study *NOT* be banned is something I’m willing to accept since hybrid mana remaining the same (as it should be) alleviated that 🤬-moment for me. RStudy needed to be banned a long time ago.

I’m *STILL* waiting for the nonegregious silver-bordered cards to be legalized already though.

What’s wild is that too many Americans wouldn’t see a difference between South Korea and Puerto Rico, because they still think Puerto Rico is its own country instead of a United States colony 🙄 Puerto Rico is US soil and anyone born there is a US citizen.

Rhystic Study not getting banned won’t make me angry. The nonegregious silver-bordered cards not getting legalized will only disappoint me. But if they change how color identity affects hybrid mana, I might stop playing Commander. Or at least take a massive break. Or ignore the rule altogether.
