I hear this. My 1.5 yo will probably catch up to his 7 yo cousin by the time he's 3 the rate he's going.

I am smiling at this while listening to the book while wearing socks that helped make this in a tiny way.

I won't be able to be there in person, bit I will be doing something just as scary to certain people. I'll be at an elementary school career day showing kids that you can be a woman in history and science and do anything you dream of.

A+ parenting

One of my favorites is salsa verde chicken. Literally just a jar of salsa verde and raw chicken for like 3 hours on low. Serve over rice.

Can't speak to the Portrait Gallery, but avoid anything with things aimed at kids (NMAI, Air and Space, Natural History). Worked in one 1 year. Never again.

Caveat to this, do NOT go to the activity center at NMAI. Today and tomorrow are top 10 busiest days.

I love seeing couples on first or early dates in museums. They're either so sweet I get a cavity or I enjoy correcting the (mostly) dudes when they say something wildly incorrect.

Things visitors say: "my mom used to walk around smelling like opium all the time!"

Trying to actually post rather than just lurk now. Will be primarily posting things seen in my museum education job. Also will occasionally post cute things my toddler A does.
