Happy 45th Birthday to one of my favorite Bruce album; “The River.”

Studio sessions couldn’t match the feel of the cassette versions. “This is it,” Bruce finally declared, delivering "Nebraska" exactly as he’d taped it: haunting, spare and enduring — released on this day in 1982.

Bruce's idea was to record demos for the next E Street Band album. But at home in New Jersey, singing into a 4-track cassette machine, he captured something far more complete — stark, vivid songs that didn’t call for anything beyond his voice and instrumentation.

Ranger Suarez is one of the biggest snubs that I’ve seen. It’s embarrassing and this is coming from a Braves fan.

When I first got into DMB, that was one of the songs that grabbed me. It was the version Live At Red Rocks and Rois playing was what grabbed me as much as the words did. 🎷🎷

I managed to listen to SOP sessions, Faithless, and Inyo, last night. I just put on The LA Garage Sessions. I listened to the Jim Rotolo interview yesterday. They played songs from each release. So I heard those as well.

Five hours and 21 minutes is the running time of the set🙂

Thus far, I’ve listened to Streets of Philadelphia Seasions, Faithless, and Enyo and I enjoyed them all very much. Tough to put into words but I’m sure I will as I listen to them more along with the other albums.
