His attacks on the ACA are kinda ironic. I understand that Americans have the memory of goldfish, but during his last term they made changes to the ACA which he claimed “fixed it”…then it got worst.

This isn’t a play by leadership. It’s a play by the “purple state renegades” so you need to be directing you calls to them ASAP:

I can’t recall there ever being another president, even Bush W, where I spent even 1/5th the time listening to a proclamation they made and going: “WTF does that mean!”

Communism is a stateless society with the abolition of private property.

Socialism is state ownership of private property, specifically the means of production.

What everyone actually means: liberal democracy with a strong social welfare system and progressive taxation.

The problem with these discussions is NOBODY uses these term correctly.

We’ve definitely resigned to if ever buying going to the burbs. Not too bad honestly, as the Westchester cities are nice, and there’s decent transit.

In 1999, my grandpa died. Had the house in Queens he bought on a window washer salary back in the 60s. Mom and uncle sold it. It went for $230k.

I looked it up about 10 year ago. It was $800k.

I looked it up on Zillow just now. It’s $1.3m.
