The latest version of the Senate's BBB is a death sentence for US energy leadership and a giant gift to China.

It eliminates tax cuts for solar that have been around since 2005, adds a new tax on solar after 2027, and creates a new direct subsidy for coal.

Indeed. China is watching this and licking its lips. An absolute gift to them.

Robbie is right. This is much worse than full repeal for wind/solar. Adds 2 new taxes on wind and solar:
* new tax for wind/solar facilities (including rooftop solar) starting in 2028
* kills 5-year depreciation for wind solar

Update: yes indeed the new Senate language is much worse the House and goes well beyond full repeal.
