Normally I don't worry too much about Dogma and rules, but my Catholic church family actually means a lot to me and I would be sad to think I could not have a Catholic funeral at my home parish, so cremation it is. I do think the rocks made from ash are cool--I'd consider that.

As a historian, I can certify that we are in the bad times. But bad times eventually end.

• Figure out a small way to fight back
• Figure out a small place to find joy
• Figure out a small way to grow and thrive

Sometimes JJ is intentionally off-putting or confusing, but that's part of the adventure of trying to do something different with the novel form and the English language, and I'm here for that ride. YMMV. You could say similar things about Gravity's Rainbow and I noped out hard on that one

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing? 2? Questions I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up. Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
