The tulip bubble was probably nowhere as big a deal as it is sometimes made out to be, it was popularised by an English economist years after the fact who said "look at these fucking idiots, spotting a bubble is easy" and then lost all his money in the railway bubble.

"All the dialogue is in a big switch statement harhar" that's probably one of the top ways to solve that problem, if you put all your text in one file you can just swap it out for localisation. Sure, a CSV would be better, but in for the purposes of Undertale not by much.

one related thing I find annoying is bringing developers down for some kind of pseudo-motivational purpose. Like people who say "Toby Fox is bad programming" what you mean is that he didn't know how to program, and then he learned, and he made the game.

Is this inspired by the Create Minecraft mod? If not that is pretty interesting convergent design because I'm pretty sure it uses the same gear sizes and connections
