Totally up to you! We're looking for the best pages. If your first draft qualifies, then great. The only thing you should be aware of is that the "prize" if you get picked as a pro is you'll get feedback on at least your first ten from one or more of us, so just make sure you're okay sharing it.

FYI - we're going through holiday pages NOW, since we're going to be filming this episode at the end of October. So if you were planning to submit a page, now's the time!

Like, not only are they okay with the idea of an aspiring writer potentially "beating" their page in front of thousands of people... they're actually willing to SUPPORT that writer. I love it. We saw a lot of stuff like this in the last season, too. It's been a really cool reminder that...

One of the pro writers for this upcoming Spot the Pro emailed me and made a really cool offer: They said that if an aspiring writer beat their page, they'd read their first 10 pages. I thought that was such a cool display of humility, confidence, and just a community-minded approach to all this...

The youtube stuff is fun and lets me give back to a good amount of mostly-serious screenwriters, so I'm happy to continue with that. Sometimes it pays me as much as $2 a day, too! Who needs to sell $500 courses when you've got that??

I was hanging out w/ a few non-film friends a couple weeks ago who spent like a half hour trying to convince me I should sell courses and consulting. They could not understand why I wouldn't want to be part of that ecosystem. But... no thanks.

Thanks, dude. It bums me out when people fall victim to stuff like this so it felt worth putting it out there.

These people are charging $500 as an "interview fee" to get people in the door to their "mentorship program," and then sending them to my free course. It's insane to me.
