Seattle is behind Missoula

Seattle wont even finish their comprehensive plan until 2028 β€”a process that started in 2022 and was due in 2024 β€”and it won’t even touch what Missoula did

People don’t get it. They’ve done the math and will be given quotas of how many democrat voters they need to temporary detain until polls close then release them. And even if it doesn’t work they’ll claim fraud occurred and will erase the results anyway. The country is gone

So transparent. They will be given quotas on how many democrat voters to detain to make sure they win based on projections. They wont need warrants. Even if you’re a citizen you’ll be released after 8 when polls close. If turnouts high and they lose anyway they’ll throw the results out

Olympia Seeks to Boost Sound Transit with Long Overdue Permit Reforms Β» The Urbanist # A pair of bills advancing this week at the state legislature would finally allow Sound Transit to rise above the local permitting fray in several key areas. The reforms could save as much as nine mo...

Just give Sound Transit permitting authority over their own land. We do that for the Port of Seattle already.

Public agencies should be allowed to self permit to deliver the projects the public voted for. We don’t need the City of Kent reviewing their work

Russia bombards Ukraine with drones and missiles a day before planned peace talks β€” The Associated Press Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Russia breached its commitment to hold off on energy infrastructure attacks for a week when it launched a major assault on Ukraine overnight.

The soviets built subways deep in Ukraine to double as missiles defense. Who knew the Russians would be lobbing the missiles

But that would mean drivers had to wait an extra few seconds and yeah I guess we will smash down 200 homes to avoid that

03.02.2026 23:22 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah we all get to subsidize smashing over apartments and building super tall bridges that we don’t need so some super yacht can get out. What a great equitable decision

Next thing you’ll tell me is they have to bulldoze tons of trees the Tree Action Seattle folks aren’t advocating to prevent

If you agree that retail spaces on the ground floor of apartment buildings should be optional, not mandated, here's something you can do:

Take pics of vacant storefronts in you neighborhood and post them as a reply here, with info about where they are.

And please share this post, thank you!!!

Someone pointed out it’s because they have to build a bigger bridge so they can bring super yachts thru

03.02.2026 20:42 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The story is much worse.
To make room for SUPER YACHTS, Coast Guard ordered the bridge raised.
This means a much longer on-ramp is now needed for trucking.
So making room for SUPER YACHTS is slated to bulldoze apartment homes and trees.

And it’s making ST3 challenging and more expensive.

Get out of the way we got a super yacht coming in!

So when local leaders say we need industrial lands for blue collar jobs, that apparently means smashing over affordable apartments to make super yachts since we will need a taller bridge. So much equity!

03.02.2026 20:37 β€” πŸ‘ 24    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

lol wow. What a complete joke

β€œWe must save industrial blue collar jobs” like building rich people yachts and smashing affordable apartments to make it happen

This city is just insane

These apartments average 750sf each and many 2 and 3 bedroom units. But all going to be plowed over for cars???

This should be getting a lot more attention but this road widening will plow over 91 homes in the apartment building just to the east of this interchange. We are bulldozing housing in a HOUSING CRISIS to save cars a few seconds @kromandavid.bsky.social @seattletimes.com
