Nice having Claude help me get emails from the server where I run my blogs working again - it had been broken for a couple of years, which meant that it took a while for me to notice on those (rare) occasions when people leave comments on the blogs.

The level six Lily conversations in Duolingo are useful for me; at the limits of my speaking capabilities, but they're a lot less repetitive than the level five ones, and they're good for me.

In iPadOS 26, Apple Mail only has mail messages take up two thirds of the screen when you're in portrait mode. Hopefully they'll change that, but if not I guess I should look for other iPad mail apps... (Anybody have any they like? How's the Gmail app? I don't need anything fancy.)

I was looking out the window a few minutes before landing just now and I saw fireworks going off above a stadium - the 49ers game probably? Never seen fireworks from a plane before, that was pretty cool.

Reached Section 6 in Duolingo Japanese; kind of weird to apparently be pretty close to the end of the lessons there.

Finished The Book of the New Sun; now to listen to eight hours of podcasts about the end, I guess. Glad I read it; not planning to move on to Urth, though.

Kind of annoying that Claude doesn't seem to have a way to search the content of all of my previous chats.

The technology for post-surgery comes for pets has changed since the last time we used one of those.

Yakuza 6 is a big improvement in how it tunes things like the density of random encounters and the density of lets.
