Even though I went to sleep at 7 ive managed to wake up at 6am, a very reasonable time to be awake! How cool is that

Richard O'Brien was my neighbour when I lived in NZ, and I emailed him a few years ago basically thanking him for being a great figure for me growing up (since he was very happily and unapologeticly himself) and he keeps mentioning it in interviews! And I think thats so sweet!!

I have thankfully now had some sleep btw, I was in no state for posting at that point

Amazing how little you can end up caring about turbulence when you haven't slept for 24 hours. Awake me? Very stressed. Tired me? Ready to accept my fate

Extremely weird to be leaving NZ again. Very sad. I grew up here! This trip was my first trip back in 15 years and it meant the absolute world to me. I hope it won't be so long to visit but it is a bloody difficult place to go

I did pledge a dollar to get an in game avatar though, which I'm going to really enjoy using after all this

I have so many thoughts about the neopets ttrpg because I am so into both neopets and ttrpgs, and pet ttrpgs (lol). There was in fact, some info about the game mechanics on a very quiet neoboard from one of the devs while the kickstarter was live. I did not back the ks after reading that board lmao

Though admittedly if you’re looking for a pet companion game with inexplicably gritty and complicated tactical combat rules I probably can’t help you

We are sending over an animon story package for them (and some of my other cousins) but oh man I'm so excited that he's so interested in rpgs 🥹

I hung out with my cousins son last week for a while and he's 11, and he was super excited about animon story and was downloading the pdf and was really interested in playing. Anyway my aunt and uncle texted me today tell me he is GMing a dnd game at his school now and that he's sad I left. 🥺🥺🥺😭

You gotta remember that just because you dont like or enjoy something doesn't mean people who like and enjoy that thing are bad or evil. Especially if the majority of folks who like that thing are women.

My NZ aunt and uncle + cousins are all so lovely, I just didn't realise because I have not seen them for 15 years. What a relief to show up and find out we get on so well and have so much in common. I'm so much more like my uncle than I realised!!

It only took flying to the other side of the world to find family members that actually like and accept me
