I hate the word "talented." It's an empty idea that obscures effort. I prefer to think some people are born with a "knack." A brain with a knack adapts to certain skillsets faster, but without dedication, knack falters. Many are born with more passion than knack, and passion succeeds every time.

This is such an important lesson to learn, I agree!

Diligence is the most important quality anyone can have, and you can learn any skill with it.
I would also add that just because you have a "knack" for something, it doesn't mean you have to pursue it. Work on other skills that make you happier!
