I think that is true if you look at recent history. Indigenous ways of living and more ancient societies deeply stressed the importance to live in natural balance with the land as to avoid the consequent destruction that comes when any* species gets too greedy.

Oh for sure, the humanities will never die completely. It’s just that the fields of Classics and language has been declining for years now due to lack of funding and now AI. Just trying to do my part and be an advocate for the humanities where I can 😮‍💨
