Hey, ya ramble enough, eventually you find something to talk about! I do feel like one of my biggest hang ups is thumbnail/titling stuff. I like having a consistent style, but familiarity has its own drawbacks. Something to work on moving forward!

You know what, that's fair, it does say opponent, not 'next turn'. So it's wider reaching, so it has more impact, but now you just become Enemy Number One.

You're right, this comparison could use a little tweaking. Painful Choice is like if Fact Or Faction was also Gifts Ungiven.

I don't mind it more than any other floodgate being legal. Shock Master only stops the person going after you in turn order this format. That leaves two other people it's completely useless against who can still focus in on you. Honestly feels like a big waste of three xyz material.

I don't think I'm the first person to make this comparison, but it bears repeating:

In fact, I'd go so far as to say cards like Painful Choice takes on a whole new dimension in Domain that it never could standard play. Is someone at the table a big threat? Find someone else and convince them to add the answer out of your five cards chosen to stop them. It's so funny.

And I really do feel like the multiplayer format helps keep those cards in check. If someone gets max value out of a Graceful Charity, they probably just got ID'd as the threat, and now they have to spend all their extra resources fending off all their opponents. It's a great equalizer.

In all my games, I've never felt like 'X' card being unbanned has ruined a game. Painful Choice can certainly be a power booster, it alongside cards like Pot of Greed and Graceful Charity help to get gameplans online more often than they do solidify a win, which leads to less non-games being played.

I can def see that. Especially the visuals, I think Master Duel is the standard for a reason, and a lot comes down to how clean and snappy it all looks.
