Anyway, my days off got cut from Thursday/Friday to just Thursday so I'm feeling a little bitter.

How the fuck are you getting an attitude about the True Spirit of Christmas when you've got us working six 10-hour days a week to ship out your assorted bric-à-bracs? Execs will just say anything.

"People care more about the presents than Christmas" they said, as I try to point out they're just getting into the spirit of the season.

Something they say as they're figuring out how to get engraved cups and sequin-by-number portraits out the door slightly faster.

I had the extreme displeasure of working on one of those projects, and one of 'em gets fussy that someone is playing Christmas music. "They're ALREADY playing this?" Wild statement. The bird is in the fridge. Mariah has escaped containment. How much longer must the people wait for their Jingles?

Work has been so backed up, that they've flown in leadership people from across the company to work in the warehouse. Some are getting into the weeds, others are spending all their time trying to re-organize the process while everyone is trying to work. Classic executive meddling.
