In my opinion, Trump's shift on this issue ("stop raiding farms and hotels") demonstrates the US needs to have an honest conversation about the role of undocumented immigrants in this country. And who constitutes this population. I'm afraid the rhetoric has already poisoned the well.

This is great and all but if TACO chooses to authorize under the Insurrection Act, Newsom can protest and order all state/local authorities to not assist the Feds (and secure the CA border) but that’s about it.
