Good news out of the pre-budget discussions. Fares will not be rising this year.

The Government must continue to invest in capital and current expenditure for Public Transport particularly in Galway to make up for the historical lack of ambition which has left our city totally choked with traffic.

Another fine example of how a small group of well-funded residents can completely hold up Essential Infrastructure through the Judicial Review system to get their way

Very convenient how it also means their illegal car parking spots remain available

Donald Clarke: I dare you to walk through Dublin city centre of an evening. You won’t believe what you see Irish social media is engulfed with paranoia. But at the capital’s heart is an extraordinary energy from which new ideas and fresh cultures emerge

I talked about the bizarre right-wing hatred of cities and about the vibrancy of Dublin at night.

The obvious places are at the canals & quays which are nodes despite the constant roar of traffic.

Beatty's Ave in Ballsbridge could take on a nice atmosphere with a little bit of public realm work (and traffic calming on the main road)

As the UK and EU carve up fishing rights, I don't give a damn which party gets to trash our marine ecosystems by overexploiting fish populations, ripping up the seafloor and killing vast numbers of "non-target" animals. I just want this orgy of destruction to stop.

Other Streets in the City Centre around Eyre Square where contra flow would make cycling safer and encourage modal shift:
Brendans Ave,
Daly's Place,
Eyre St,
BΓ³thar Irwin

These points have been made to deaf ears for years, nay for decades. They deserve to be heard and championed. 🧡5/5

Dart+ South West is the latest to hit the issue, the ESB project the electrical transformers will be overloaded inside of 2 years… the capacity simply isn’t there
