Sarah Montgomery’s death is a devastating loss for her children, family, and friends - but it is not an isolated tragedy.

Since 2020, 26 women have been killed by men in NI, exposing an epidemic of male violence that shatters lives and terrorises women and girls.

So the outrage at the current moment seems totally manufactured and v unhelpful in terms of public understanding of plans. Maybe I'm naive but would we not be better off having a public conversation on what it could/should be rather than being stuck in an argument based on a totally false premise?!

Mary Lou McDonald says plans to revamp GPO as mixed used 'cultural' hub is a 'betrayal of history' Similar to how Temple Bar was revitalised, a special body is to be set up to drive improvements across the city.

I understand the GPO is an emotive site. But it is currently, and has been for over a century, a mix of post office, offices and retail (GPO arcade and Henry St shops are part of the site).

O'Gorman calls for Wexford 'goo lagoon' to be prevented Green Party leader Roderic O'Gorman has said that urgent action is needed to prevent Ireland's largest saltwater lake from becoming a toxic "goo lagoon".

Lady's Island Lake is one of Ireland's largest saline lagoons, and hosts a wide variety of bird-life.
Unfortunately, it is also highly polluted.
I have been working with the Wexford Green Party to highlight this, and today I raised the issue with the Taoiseach

Councillors wonder what’s become of those transport schemes to make neighbourhoods safer They recite schemes that were promised, or piloted, but seem to have gone nowhere. A council spokesperson said similar initiatives still exist.

What's happened to the neighbourhood transport schemes for North Dublin? 🤔

They were meant to cut rat-running and heavy traffic in built-up areas.

DCC must deliver these schemes to make our streets safer.
