War must surely be the last resort of even the least intelligent. I can't cope with all this talk of war. We're supposed to learn from the past, yet previous wars are romanticised and future wars planned. Nobody wins wars. Everyone loses.

So today's biggie from the dep pres about Joburg's water problems is to institute a strategy for 'water shifting'. I must admit, I see water as shifting itself pretty successfully. If only our darling government would spend more energy on delivery & less on making up new words for not delivering.

It's totally weird how forcefully we are constantly being told to embrace our own replacement by AI that is based on work we've all contributed to over years of sharing the internet. I'm hoping that sanity will prevail and alongside it our own diverse usefulness, learning and innovations.
