More concerned about this in the upcoming elections. Trump's disapproval ratings are no guarantee those unhappy Indys or Repubs will actually vote for a dem. I can see them saying " f*** it, I'm out" and MAGA is (once again) overrepresented.

That's so sad. I'm a white male in a blue county in red AZ. Hiker too. I feel this post to my core. I swear I can feel that apprehension when encountering women out on the trails. I change up paths to not put anyone in an uncomfortable zone. Totally don't blame them for feeling that. Sad tho.
