I don’t respect anything about this. They’re only sorry because they thought other groups would suffer and not them. It’s not empathy.

a mistake a lot of people make when they go on a christmas adventure is learning the true meaning of christmas. if you don't learn it you get to go on another christmas adventure the next year, you basically just keep getting free christmas adventures as long as you don't learn anything.

If billionaires like Elon Musk paid into Social Security at the same rate as the rest of us on all of their income, we could expand benefits for everyone and pay them in full forever.

This is exactly why, I argue, we need to stop talking about the need to "reduce emissions" and start talking about the need to "phase out fossil fuels."
