We have real actual communists in our parlament, and that is considered normal(9 out of 179). And a socialist party with 15 members, again considered very normal. So yeah - even very liberal media in the US is kinda to the right of center for us.

I come from a country where Bernie Sanders would be considered a moderate centrist, a little to the right of center. Most democrats would be right wingers in Denmark. That filter is always on.

I am an outsider looking in. To be quite honest - Most American media seem very “extreme” to me. So honestly I am reading any American source with a certain critical look. So all US media is kinda a weird window into an alien world.

They should totally use that.

The New York Times - definitely a screamer.

I agree. Since US politics suddenly also became Danish politics, I found that seeing what US media reports is kinda important. And NY times is the lesser of many evils(plus the book section is always excellent, and I have access to The Athlectic for sports also).

Just as I was replying here, I was reading about Trump Jr, and his very weird affiliation with polymarkets. And suspicious betting on Trump stuff …

I found the coverage of the Danish/greenlandic delegation very nuanced(and I am pretty biased because Danish) And additional details that Danish media missed(even though there were a lot there) Very much not a fan of Big Orange(for many reasons). But as a window into the US, I haven’t seen better.
