I'm not saying he has few race days in general? But only racing once in the entire spring pre giro for the build up just isn't ideal. Not their fault he got sick/got taken down by Pedro. But that doesn't mean they can't look into adding another race. They did look into that last year too after all.

I get your point, but at the same time we can't keep him away from racing just because there is a risk of crashing 🙂 He is a bike rider after all. I don't think he needs to (or wants to) be sheltered more than any other GC rider in this regard. But I do think Visma will keep him off racing.

Fear around PN is strong in here 😅 If he's going on altitude exactly then, then obviously no. PN isn't perfect timing, but only riding Catalunya isn't exactly ideal either.

I actually don't think he would do altitude before Catalunya based on what he said in those January interviews 🤔 Could be wrong though. I wish they would send him to Paris Nice. But I think they're too conservative/overly cautious to do so unfortunately

Yeah. Artem Shcherbyna. They did say it was fine if he just asked and they agreed to it. So it wasn't like total hate on him - just another conformation that pros do find it incredibly annoying when filmed without permission 😅

Oh, and also from this podcast they talk about Ayuso. Mads, Skjelmose and Norsgaard say that he's completely 100% the opposite of what the media has portrayed. He is a part of the team. He seems happy and easy going. They think he found the ideal environment at trek 🙃
