IME the Berryessa and Milpitas P&Rs are quite empty on weekdays. With so many freeways + current transit into DTSJ rather slow, the appeal to get on BART there isn't great, even if going to SF - unless you're much closer to it than Caltrain.

Wouldn't be surprised if the P&Rs see more use post-SV2.

Interestingly, despite having lots of P&R, Berryessa is the 2nd lowest. Presumably because it's not BART-owned parking + If you're commuting from most parts of SCC to SF/SMC then Caltrain is likely more accessible to you (and faster if you take an Express)

Unsurprisingly, the station with the lowest ratio is SFO, as flying isn't really dependent on day of the week.

Downtown and North Berkeley are both in the bottom five too, largely due to UC students going on all sorts of BARTable trips on the weekend.

While Montgomery is where most SF commuters are heading, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, and Antioch - where they're likely originating - round out the top 4 stations with the largest weekday-to-weekend ratio. Could be due to large park and ride facilities

Montgomery and Powell stations are right next to each other, yet their ridership couldn't be any more different.

90.3% of Montgomery's riders are on weekdays - of all BART stations, this is the highest.

Powell is the 3rd-lowest in this metric, at just 79.4%.

tired of seeing folks blame BART itself for the outage today or painting BART as completely unreliable when a meltdown of this scale only happens once or twice a year at most. let's instead praise those who worked tirelessly to restore service, and continue to advocate for better service & funding.
