What does it mean to ‘do your own research,’ and how often do Americans do it? Nearly all Americans say it’s at least somewhat important for people to do their own research to check the accuracy of news they get.

This is really interesting, though I'm curious how many people consider "asking a chatbot" to be "doing their own research." At the same time, actually, I don't want to know.

Wildfire Smoke Linked to 17,000 Strokes Annually in the United States - Eos A study of 25 million Medicare participants adds to a body of evidence suggesting that prolonged exposure to wildfire smoke is more harmful to human health than other forms of air pollution.

Stroke risk doesn't seem to change much whether people are exposed to 1, 2 or 3 years of non-smoke PM2.5 pollution.
