Unfortunately, in mental heath care, young people can sometimes feel that their Physical Health and Sexual Wellbeing is not prioritised.

To help the address this, we have just published a protocol on the Irish VISTA Research Programme.

Hear, hear @aodhanoriordain.bsky.social! Hopefully this is not a harbinger of the apocalypse 😉. In fairness though, my wife Shirley and I did warn ye about Trump when we were interviewed by @virginmediatv.bsky.social back in 2017. Granted our comments were vague as hell but we did call it!

No Future Shock

Yep, and it’s just going to get weirder. This tune seems more relevant now than it did when it was released in 2011. Captures the zeitgeist. As in… the harrowing sense of the impending apocalypse.

What we actually need is “parity of esteem” between mental and physical health in the budget.

I’ve nothing against Martin but what would be her key achievements in the role? I know there was that lottery salary thing but what else? I’m genuinely curious. You rarely hear of individual achievements of politicians.

It’s not apathy or disillusionment with politics, that’s an excuse. The “nothing will change so there’s no point” argument. It’s fucking laziness. Elected candidates get to spend your money as they see fit. It’s your job to choose who they are. It is very simple.

The low turn out in today’s general election in Ireland is deeply disappointing considering how tight an election it is. Today was potentially a landmark day in Irish politics and a massive percentage of its citizens didn’t give a shit enough to get off the couch + write numbers on a sheet of paper.

It’s bullshit. Especially in such a tight race. Every seat counts in government formation talks. There was meant to be a youth surge. Looks like that never happened. That in particular is shocking because Ireland is no place for young people these days and this was their opportunity to change that.

Shirley and I just made the exact same point. Every time I hear someone complaining now, I’ll be “well did you fucking vote?”

Analysing Claims of Electoral Interference During the Irish Local and European Elections False claims of election interference in Ireland’s June elections failed to gain traction, but November’s general election may be a new opportunity for far-right activists.

New report by the smart people at ISD finds echoes of “stop the steal” before the the June euro and local elections in conspiratorial chatter about “voter harvesting”, “foreign interference”, and “polling station irregularities” www.isdglobal.org/isd-publicat...
