Iโ€™m excited about this collaborative project by @sunw37.bsky.social, @johanwinn.bsky.social, and many other talented contributors. Read about how our @hhmijanelia.bsky.social team imaged thousands of neurons in mouse hippocampus as mice learned cognitive tasks over several days: hhmi.news/4hXIp7r

In a recent article in BBS Murayama and
Jach suggest that we shouldย unpack the black boxย and look at motivated behavior as the outcome of mental computational processes. Franz Wurm, Ineke van der Ham and I believe that this approach is too limited: www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

Paper alert!

In our new paper "Towards a characterization of human spatial exploration behavior" in BRM, we introduce a novel, fine-grained approach to analyse 3D exploration behavior.

We tested our method in a sample of n >400, and validated it on the Silcton dataset.

Together with Ineke van der Ham, Jos van der Hage, and Angus Mol, we received a Grassfields grant to create a 3D-learning platform called SpatialMind to promote spatial abilities!

We are still looking for a researcher for this project. Let me know if you are interested!
