I expected the sort of, Unity workflow where i can plop the sprites in and chop them up in-engine but it seems like i have to set up 7 trillion PNG's or figure out how stuff works

ive not been able to figure out godot yet (setting up sprites SUCKS) but man are people making coooooool stuff

Eh

I used to hate the new inputsystem for being complicated (dumb, i was new) but I've found a new appreciation to it. It also helps setting out controls - and changing them - very easy as far as im aware lol

Working with unity .. It really does have a strange inputsystem, but the new inputsystem has actually helped that. The previous one was pretty ass.
You can use the new input system with one "input manager" script or smth and a buncha lambdas which is what im doing atm and its pretty solid

what ur missing is just the aspect of its popularity and accessibility, which leads to lots and lots of low skill developers getting access to it and using it to produce lots of things
its a tool .. after all ..

unity's alright, its just so popular (and its free with plentiful tutorials), so lower skill people have lots of access to it and end up using it

big fan of this WIP title screen, you should change it up but keep the same sort of, uuhh, aura? i suppose .. aesthetic? idk the right word, you get what i mean :)
