I've been thinking a lot about time dilation this week. My kid is 11 and in just 5 more years they'll be old enough to drive. But to them, 5 years is literally half a lifetime.

REACHER on Prime is the "Chronicles of the Intrepid" (@scalzi.com) of action TV shows. Immensely hard not to roll my eyes right out of my skull after every episode. I guess the joke's on me as I'm still gonna finish it. Stockholm Syndrome at this point?

Also not fantasy (sorry I'm a sci-fi kinda guy) but the Murderbot Diaries are super fun. Quick, memorable, not stressful, and popular with the online crowd.

Not fantasy, but Becky Chambers Wayfarer series is a fantastic Mass Effect-inspired solarpunk series with some great characters!

Special shout-out to @dropouttv.bsky.social after finishing this season of Game Changer my household now spontaneously bursts into a chorus of "EVERYBODY DO THE WENIS!"

I just recently picked this up again after sinking a fistful of hours into it a few years ago. I don't think I've really unraveled things yet, but I'm getting a taste of the direction it's headed and am looking forward to seeing it through this time 🤓
