I get that if you live in the countryside, a car is necessary, but if you live in a city and really need a car, that's a badly designed city.

I'm kind weirdly proud of never having owned a car. In the Netherlands it's enough to have a bike and public transport, and even in Berlin that combo works well. Cars just seem like a burden when you live in a city.
