Where's the annual petition to ban loud bang fireworks except for licensed displays so we don't have to be disturbed by idiots setting them off at stupid times in the night for three weeks?

No. Search for "consequentialism".

Yes, and I hope he leaves it soon. But the difference is that if he does, at best it will make the news for a day. Whereas if the government moves to another platform, the journalists and pundits will have to follow them.

So what? That doesn't justify Labour posting there, especially when they have the power to make a substantial shift in media policy.

Green Party are doing fine for engagement here. If Labour MPs want to see engagement they need to post more than boilerplate blancmange. But they shouldn't need engagement to persuade them to make a moral decision not to support fascist billionaire's political manipulation platform.

Trying something a bit scary tomorrow. Have been working on plans for a project for several months now. Have got a small team together & tomorrow we're holding a big workshop to get it off the ground. I've got a presentation to give. Community organising working towards strategic civil disobedience.

Good. They should never have been arrested. They caused no lasting damage. Peaceful protest has to be upheld as a human right if we want to live in a democracy.

We are constantly told by the media and authorities that these are both 'forest'.

One is a complex, diverse native ecosystem, full of life. The other is an industrial monoculture deadzone.

They could not be more different.

Are they actually shaping the party though? I'm still not clear on how ammendments to the documents are suggested or who is selecting suggested ammendments for further discussion or votes. It’s all rather opaque. When will you empower local groups to self-organise via the membership lists?

Big turnout at the Exeter is For Everyone rally today that was held to oppose the far-right march through the town centre. Music, singing, chanting and a whole lot of love for diversity.

Yes, but the party, wider politics, and the media landscape were also all in very different positions when she was leader, and she was very busy being the party's only MP. For all the brilliance of Zack's honeymoon period, I'm expecting the media to start deliberately ignoring him soon.

I support RSPB and Wildlife Trusts, but this is a disappointing defensive response to being asked to do more. Writing reports and getting people to send emails isn't enough. Asking nicely doesn't work anymore. Stop being timid, start taking action. Mobilise members into activism.

The blame would be on Labour for not bringing in proportional representation while in power. They can't refuse electoral reform and then still use the broken electoral system to demand people vote for a lesser of two evils, without being seen as obvious dicks that nobody should vote for.

The government actually made it worse for themselves as two more grounds for review were granted on cross-appeal. 🤣

Home Office tried to argue "we don't want our decisions challenged in court if we've broken the law" and the court said "Tough. And here's two more ways they can be challenged."

I love that the government made it worse for themselves by trying to block the judicial review of the Palestine Action ban. 🤣

It's often a hard lesson to learn, but self-care is a vital part of activism.
