I agree, but we've got a lot of work to do if we want to avoid the ID model. Most of the people involved want it for varying different reasons.

Tech lords, conservative bigots, traditional media, establishment propagandists, and duped ordinary people are all in favour of ID in their own way.

We also have studies that show mental health in young people is not adversely affected by normal social media use.

I agree that tech oligarchs are extremely dangerous purveyors of fascism. But the current trend towards blocking young people's access by requiring ID is exactly what the tech oligarchs want.

I think the Guardian is misrepresenting him there (shocking I know). My understanding is that Zack advocates leaving NATO once we have firmly established a viable European alternative, which is very different to what the Guardian is implying.

More cooperation with Europe while also staying in NATO is Greens policy.

The long term aim is to eventually build a European replacement for NATO that doesn't shackle us to the US, and which has diplomatic & mediation powers as well as military.
